Does my hair need a protein treatment?

August 10, 2020 1 min read

If your hair is feeling weak or limp and seems to stretch out execssively when wet or while you're brushing it, try adding a protein treatment in to your monthly routine.

Do I need a protein treatment?

Hair is made up of protein (keratin). Protein treatments help to restore this protein which can be damaged from heat styling, colouring or bleaching. If you've ever bleached your hair and had it feel mushy or gummy afterwards - you need protein!

A little word of warning through: you do not want to overdo the protein treatments. Too much protein will have your hair feeling brittle and stiff.

I like to use a Hi Pro Pac sachet after colouring to rebuild and restore the protein levels in my hair!
