Welcome to the world of white blonde dreams! With preparation, dedication and a lot of upkeep - you can have that pale hair you've always wanted.

YOUR HAIR NEEDS TO BE PALE YELLOW FIRST
This is step #1 - nothing beyond this will work without it. We're talking really pale yellow here, like - Kim Kardashian on the first day she went blonde kinda yellow. This process will likely take a lot of bleach - so make sure you're prepared with a great damage treatment (Olaplex) and space out your bleaching sessions over a few weeks if you have the patience.
My top pick for bleach is the Wella Blondor. It's a blue powder lightener with anti-yellow molecules that can give you up to seven levels of lift!

USE AN ASH BASED TONER OR COLOUR
I stock so many ash based toners and colours at Tint Department. Why? Anything ashy or cool-toned is the perfect antidote to the warm tones so many of us want to get rid of!
The lightest colours I stock are the ever famous Wella Colour Charm Toner in T18 and Wella Colour Charm Demi in 10NA.
Both will give you a similar result on pale yellow hair, with the T18 being a permanent toner and the demi lasting up to 24 washes.

MAINTAIN WITH A COLOUR DEPOSITING SHAMPOO
These shampoos and masks deposit colour onto the surface of your hair, keeping the tones of your hair nice and cool. We're going for the opposite colour on the colour wheel here: so if you're looking to cancel out yellow go with a violet range.
I stock two different ranges of colour depositing haircare at Tint Department: Fanola and 18 in 1 Intense. Both are amazing, but here's some info to help you choose. Fanola No Yellow is an insanely powerful colour depositor, but the shampoo does contain sulphates so you make notice some drying. The results you've seen all over social media really do speak for themselves though!
18 in 1, on the other hand, does not contain sulphates - that's the major difference. It's also packed with insanely powerful pigments (wear gloves caus it can stain hands!), but also full of moisturising properties so you'll be left with soft, toned hair.
My tip for extra toning: apply to dry hair. But be careful, just a few minutes is all you need!

TREAT! TREAT! TREAT!
I can't stress this one enough! Your hair will have been through a lot to get to this stage, so make sure you're treating it with the best possible products.
My current routine: Fanola Nutricare Shampoo & Mask (forget conditioner) for most washes, Olaplex #3 once per week, 18 in 1 Intense Shampoo & Mask once per week, Hi Pro Pac treatments- I alternate these as I have them all and leave them in while I take a long bath on a Sunday :)
